On site it’s impossible to miss the first new major structure of the Brand New Covent Garden Market – six new five-a-side football pitches next to the multi-storey car park
Set to open later this year, the two-storeys of pitches will be available for community use.
The steelwork for the building is finished and the next phase is now due to start, including pouring the concrete for the first and second floors, applying cladding and building the lift and stair core.
At ground floor the building will be home to the new Recycling & Waste compound which will be ready in August.
