Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the Apex 1 proposals as part of the recent consultation. VINCI St. Modwen (VSM), the 50/50 joint venture between St. Modwen Properties PLC and VINCI PLC, have now submitted a Reserved Matters Application (RMA) and a Section 96a application to the London Borough of Wandsworth. These applications will enable VSM to bring forward a stand-alone, landmark building on the Apex 1 site, as part of the wider masterplan for the New Covent Garden Market site.
This is an exciting step in the ongoing delivery of the masterplan and transformation of the area into a new Food Quarter. Apex 1 will deliver a number of substantive benefits including 201 new high-quality homes and public realm, and flexible retail space. The proposals also improve local connections and accessibility with a new pedestrian route through the viaduct linking to Nine Elms and the river.
